Valentine E. Meader, son of Levi Meader (1813-1885) [0156] and Amanda Eastman (1817-1888), was born in Rochester, NH July 8, 1842. May 13, 1866 in Providence he married Martha Ellen Carkin, daughter of Jonas Carkin and Sybil Carkin of Tyngsboro, Middlesex, MA. They lived in Central Falls, RI.
